A customer contacted Dorset Oven Repairs after the door on a built-in combination microwave at his mother's apartment in Sandbanks, Poole, stopped closing correctly.

An existing customer contacted Dorset Oven Repairs after discovering that the built-in combination microwave at his mother’s apartment in Sandbanks was no longer closing properly.
The problem appeared shortly after the property had been cleaned, leading the customer to suspect that something within the microwave door assembly may have been disturbed or incorrectly refitted.
As the customer was not at the property, we arranged to collect the apartment keys from a local agency in Sandbanks before attending to investigate the fault.
After identifying the problem, we carefully inspected the microwave door assembly to establish which components needed adjusting.
Rather than replacing the entire door or ordering unnecessary parts, we were able to reposition the existing components and correctly reassemble the door.
We carefully adjusted the alignment, ensuring the components were properly fitted and secured before checking that the door could open and close as intended.

Following the repair, we tested the microwave door to confirm that it opened and closed correctly. The door was properly aligned again, with no further problems identified during our checks.
Once the work was complete, we secured the apartment and returned the keys to the local agency in Sandbanks.
We also contacted the customer to confirm that the repair had been successful and provided photographs of the completed work.
